Clarins Crayon Khol

green eye pencil
We are constantly hearing about “adding a pop of color” to our makeup looks to make them stand out more. Me personally I am neutral gal, color intermediates me. But I decided to branch out and try adding some color to my every day makeup routine. So I did my research to what colors would suit my eye color most (which is brown) and I decided on a deep forest green eye liner from Clarins.

I  wanted to take baby steps to adding color which is why I chose to do eye liner.  I kept the eye shadow very natural and then added the green very close to my last line and even winged it out a little bit. I will say this green made my eyes POP! The dark forest green made my brown eyes lighten up  and become more soft.

Not only did the eye look work out but the product I used for achieving the look was awesome. I usually stick with liquid eye liner because of its longevity and pigment. But this wooden tip pencil surprised me. It is extremely creamy and the pigment really packs a punch for a pencil.

If you’re looking to add a pop of color this up coming fall – this pencil is your answer.

It’s A 10 Miracle Leave-in

Blue bottle of leave-in hair product
Hello beauty lovers! Today I come to you with a miracle hair product post. I have been a cosmetologist for four years now so I have become a huge citric when it comes to hair products. So, when a product pasts all my tests I need to brag about it.

The It’s a 10 Miracle-Leave in product is truly heaven-sent. I first tried It’s a 10 products when I was in beauty school and they have expanded their brand so much since then and everything is pure liquid gold.

This leave-in product can be used when the hair is wet or dry.  It can be used wet to protect the hair from any heat and dry to lock in your style and calm frizz. It’s a 10 leave- in performs 10 different functions for the hair. It repairs dry damaged hair, adds shine, smoothes & controls frizz, seals & protects hair color, detangles, prevents split ends, stops hair breakage, creates silkiness, enhances natural body, flat-iron & thermal protector.

The It’s a 10 leave-in product leaves the hair soft and bouncy with no frizz. I can sit here and testify that it does all 10 of those functions mentioned above. I have never met a hair product that I have re-purchased so many times that continues to over throw any other products I try.  Go get you some!

Back to School Beauty Essentials

hair brush, bronzer , foundation and a makeup sponge
As I start to pack away my room for my last year of college (eek!) I realize that packing beauty products can be the hardest. What do I want to bring with me, what will I need?

This year I decided to narrow it down and only bring the essentials. I needed makeup that would keep it simple and fast because no one has time to wake up extra early to get glamed up before an 8am lecture. So,  I have come up with four products that will give me a nice simple look for heading back to school!

First the famous Beauty Blender. The beauty blender has always been my better half when it cames to makeup application. The Beauty Blender is a makeup sponge that you soak under water and then squeeze the excess water out on a paper towel. This makeup sponge gives a quick but flawless application to any foundation. Plus its amazing for dry skin!

Next in the suit case is the IT Cosmetics CC Cream Illumination. I have never been a fan of CC Creams because they never offered me enough coverage. That changed when I tried the IT Cosmetics CC cream. I had the original formula for almost a year and I decided to try the illumination version for the spring/ summer time and its amazing! Offers the same full coverage as the original, amazing SPF and gives you a just back from the beach glow!

Rouge Bunny Bronzer. Even though summer is coming to an end bronzer stays in my beauty routine all year round. This bronzer is demi-matte and gives my face an all over glow. As the cold months are coming my face tends to get a tad bit on the pale side and I love to use bronzer to give my face some life! Especially when im running on low on sleep.

Last but not least we cannot forget about the hair. The Wet Brush has been an essential for me for years now. This brush is extremely gentle and can be used when your hair is wet. It is perfect for on the go and leaves the hair shiny and soft!

IT Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe Complexion Brush

Dual ended makeup brush
The IT cosmetics brush line has always been a fan favorite in the beauty world. I recently had the chance to try their Heavenly Luxe Complexion Perfection Brush and it is pure heaven. The brush is dual ended with one side being used for foundation  and the other end used for concealer.

This brush is extremely soft and is the perfect size on both ends giving the face an airbrushed finish. Not only does the brush feel amazing and make your skin look amazing it also has great benefits. The IT Cosmetics brush line is cruelty free and  pro-hygenic.

The Heavenly Luxe Brush has changed my foundation and concealer for the better and I don’t think I will ever go back to any other face brush – yes it’s that good.

NYX Proof it! Eyeshadow Primer

white tube of eye shadow primer

Alright, confession time.

I never use eyeshadow primer. I always use my concealer to cancel out any veins, even my skin tone and just hope for the best. But lately I have been trying to do more unique eye shadow looks and I was getting frustrated because my shadows were not lasting throughout the day.

So, I did my research and headed to Ulta to try the NYX Proof it! Eyeshadow Primer. My eyelids will never be the same after using this primer. For the first time in my makeup career, I went out with friends and at the end of the night my eyeshadow looked the exact same as when I left my house. Crazy!

The NYX primer is transparent, but it has a slightly tacky consistency so the shadows can stick to the base and not budge. And on top of it all, it’s adorable!

If you’re looking to make those shimmer shadows pop and last all night long, give the NYX Proof it! Eyeshadow Primer a try. You won’t be sorry.

Simple Micellar Make-up Remover Wipes

White packed of make-up remover wipes
Okay, so I have  raved about Simple Skincare’s Micellar Cleansing Water and I thought nothing could top it..well, I was wrong. Simple’s new Micellar Make-up Remover Wipes are amazing. I have been a make-up remover wipe girl for years now and I have tried everything from sensitive wipes to exfoliation and none of my past make-up remover wipe relationships measure up to this one.

The Micellar Make-up  Remover Wipes leave my face feeling fresh and smooth. Usually after using any type of makeup remover my skin instantly feels tight and needs hydration immediately, but with the micellar wipes, I can remove all my makeup and just go to bed. I didn’t wash my face afterwards and didn’t use moisturizer (probably not the best), but my face felt so good afterwards that I didn’t feel the need to.

I woke up the next morning with such a fresh and glowy no-makeup face that I instantly fell in love. These wipes are heaven-sent. They remove every ounce of makeup using only one single wipe and they leave the face hydrated and fresh. If you really want to knock your skin care routine up a notch use the Micellar Wipes in combination with the Micellar cleansing water  – your skin will thank you , I promise.

Simple Skincare, you have won my skin’s heart yet again.

#National Lipstick Day

IMG_3448
Happy National Lipstick Day, beauties!

In spirit of this holiday I figured I would share my current go-to lipstick with you all. When I am looking for a lipstick, I want something that is creamy, lasts a long time, and isn’t going to dry out my poor lips. When I find  one that has all three of these qualities, I stick with it and have to brag about it.

L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Le Matte Lip Colors just hit stores about a month ago and you need to go get these. It is creamy, pigmented, lasts all night long ( I woke up the next morning with a bold lip still on!) and it’s not drying! The color selection is flawless from nudes to bright reds and it is super user-friendly.  The lip crayon has a skinny tip which means no need for lip liner, and it is retractable so you can skip the sharpener.  Easy to manage and long wearing? That’s a winner to me.
