The new trend in the makeup world is liquid lipsticks. Matte lips are the number one trend for fall. Liquid lipsticks give that ultra matte finish, major pigmentation and longevity that we all look for in our lip products.

I recently decided to hop on the liquid lipstick train and I have found my favorite.
The Nyx Liquid Suede Cream Lipsticks are IT. They are creamy, matte, pack a punch when it comes to pigment and they last forever like you’ll wake up the next morning still with a bold lip on from the night before.

Another amazing quality is , its affordable. You can find Nyx at ulta and at some drug stores such as CVS and Target. These liquid lipsticks are the pot of gold in my book. Others that i have tried have either bled or dried out my lips to the point where I needed to remove them.
The Nyx suede cream lipsticks are hydrating yet keep a matte finish but don’t show any fine lines or dry patches. It’s PERFECT.

Tis’ The Season for Fall Lipsticks

The season of fall dark vampy lips is upon us and I couldn’t be more excited. There is something about a dark mauve matte lip that makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.
Today on this rainy Thursday I wanted to share my favorite fall lippies with you all.

First, Mac Whirl lipstick. We all have heard of the cult favorite whirl lip pencil from Mac and from popular demand Mac has created a Whirl lipstick. I hopped on this band wagon very fast and im glad I did. This lipstick is the perfect dark mauve with a brown under tone. The lipstick last all day and doesn’t dry out my lips.

Second, Bite Beauty Butter Cream lipstick in Hazelnut. Bite beauty has always been one of my favorite brands because of their all natural ingredients. Their lipsticks never irritate my lips and always keep them smooth and hydrated. This color is also a mauve but with a plum under tone right on trend for fall! The unique aspect of this lipstick is it is hand cut. By having the lipstick hand cut it removes the outer waxy layer and expose’s the lipstick’s creamy center. This lipstick is infused with five nourishing, aromatic butters, including lavender, shea, almond, pomegranate, and chamomile. Good for your lips and stylish.
Last but not least Tarte Lip Surgence Lip Gloss in Exposed. I know when the cold weather hits it’s all about matte lips but sometimes your lips need a break and need some shine! The Tarte lip surgence lip glosses have a sheer pigment make them perfect for those no makeup days and are hydrating and smell delicious. #National Lipstick Day

Happy National Lipstick Day, beauties!

In spirit of this holiday I figured I would share my current go-to lipstick with you all. When I am looking for a lipstick, I want something that is creamy, lasts a long time, and isn’t going to dry out my poor lips. When I find one that has all three of these qualities, I stick with it and have to brag about it.

L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Le Matte Lip Colors just hit stores about a month ago and you need to go get these. It is creamy, pigmented, lasts all night long ( I woke up the next morning with a bold lip still on!) and it’s not drying! The color selection is flawless from nudes to bright reds and it is super user-friendly. The lip crayon has a skinny tip which means no need for lip liner, and it is retractable so you can skip the sharpener. Easy to manage and long wearing? That’s a winner to me.

TOM FORD VS. Revlon ?!

Over the last couple weeks I have been putting two lip glosses to the test from two extremely different brands. The TOM FORD Ultra Shine lip gloss is very luxurious and in my opinion quite expensive for a lip gloss, so I wanted to see if it was truly worth it.

As soon as I applied the TOM FORD lip gloss to my lips, I knew I had something just like it in my collection. The lip gloss applied very well- no stickiness , just enough pigment and it felt hydrating on the lips – but, it didn’t change my life. For the price, I was expecting this lip gloss to rock my world and instead I found a much cheaper dupe.

The Revlon Super Lustrous lip gloss has the exact same effect as the TOM FORD lip gloss. It isn’t sticky, has nice pigment and feels amazing on the lips (and it even lasts longer on the lips than Tom Ford).

I had high expectations for the TOM FORD lip gloss because of the brand name and price. I figured it had to be good – it’s a $46 lip gloss, right?! Kind of.

It’s good, but I found just as good for a far better price.

So, I say save your money lip gloss lovers. Revlon Super Lustrous easily wins this lip gloss showdown.

ELF Lip Exfoliator

We are all starting to experience that hard transition from the warm months of summer to the cold start of fall . Not only does our wardrobe change but so does our makeup routine. This ELF lip exfoliator is going to be the reason why my lips will love me during this cold season. I have always suffered from extremely dry lips and because of that i could never rock those beautiful matte lipsticks.

Recently I was strolling through my target and saw this item and decided to give it a try. The exfoliator has the packaging and shape of a regular lipstick but instead is a grainy like texture wrapped around a lip balm making it not to harsh for your lips. I take this product almost every day before putting anything on my lips and run it on my lips for about 1-2 minutes and then wipe away any residue it leaves behind and wa la ! beautiful soft lips ready for that beautiful red matte lip you’ve been waiting to rock.
