I am sure all of us have heard of the ever so popular Urban Decay All Nighter makeup setting spray. This product has a great name in the beauty world and I can finally say I know why.

I always passed by this product in Sephora (especially in the aisle before the check out- were they really get you with those travel size goodies am I right?) I never wanted to fork up the money for something to spray on my face I just didn’t believe in it.

Well over the holidays my makeup just wasn’t sticking it was constantly just disappearing from my face and no primer or powder I was using was helping. Not to mention it was 70 degrees in VA on Christmas so my skin was not in a good place. So I picked up the travel size of the Urban Decay All Nighter and lets just say the full size bottle is in my Sephora cart as we speak.

This spray does exactly what it says keeps your makeup on all night. You better like your makeup because it is not moving! Not only does it set makeup and keep it on in place for hours it does so much more. There are times when I finish my makeup and the powder has made me look cakey or the foundation is settling into my fine lines after I spray the Urban Decay every settles and makes for a flawless finish. It keeps my skin hydrated and my makeup looking fresh all day. If you’re having trouble with your makeup fading I highly recommend this setting spray it’s SO worth it.

Essie Gel Setter Top Coat

Is there anything more annoying like giving yourself an amazing manicure and the next 5 minutes you go to open a can of soda and BAM three out of the five fingers are now chipped.
The Essie Gel Setter Top Coat has solved all my chipped nail problems.

I am a girl who loved to have gel (shellac) nails, they lasted up to two weeks and never, ever chipped but it’s not ideal for keeping your nails healthy. I decided to go back to regular nail polish but the chipping drove me crazy. The Essie Gel Setter is extremely impressive. It gives your nails a gel like shine and my polish lasts up to SIX DAYS with NO chips, crazy right?!

I always have my doubts when companies come out with top coats that are supposed to give you that longevity that gel nails do but Essie has really hit it out of the park with this one.
The top coat isnt thick, it glides on perfectly and you will have a beautiful manicure chip free for at least six days. Go get you some, you wont regret it!

Battle Of The Micellar Waters

Micellar waters have become one of the most popular ways to remove makeup and cleanse your face this past year. So many different brands are coming out with of their own version of a micellar waters and today im going to battle two different micellar waters!

First the Simple Skincare micellear water was the first cleaning water I used and I fell in love witht he aspect immediately. It removed my makeup completely and did not irritate my skin or sting my eyes. It left my skin soft and smooth and I didn’t feel the need to cleanse with a cleanser. I have constantly repurchased this micellar water but recently a new micellar water has caught my eye and I have switched over.

The new Garnier micellar water is even better! This micellar water works just as well as the Simple water but is even better ( i didnt even think it was possible). The biggest difference is you get more bang for your buck. The Simple Skincare micellar water is 6.7 oz and ranges from 5-7$ and the Garnier micellar water is 13.5 oz and the price ranges 6-8 $ it is more than double the size of the Simple micellar water! The Garnier micellar water works perfect it removes my makeup completely and makes my skin look clean and fresh and not drying AT ALL.

If you are a lover of micellar waters just as I am and are looking to save some pennies I recommend giving the Garnier micellar cleansing water a shot!

bareMinerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream

When im getting up early in the morning after having zero sleep I don’t have time to have my usual medium-full coverage foundation. I apply the bareMinerals Tinted Gel and it covers just enough and gives me a dewy look that makes me look more awake and fresh.

Urban Decay Cosmetics Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer
To cover the bags under my eyes Urban Decays Weightless concealer is a winner. It gives full coverage and is not drying and lasts all day long. I also apply this to any spots my tinted gel did not cover.

Benefit Hoola Matte Bronzer
When im in a rush I skip the blush and contour and just use my favorite bronzer to warm up my skin. The benefit Hoola Bronzer is the perfect color not too orange and not too red and puts some warmth back into my skin making me look like I just arrived from vacation.

CoverGirl Clump Crusher
For mascara I like length more than volume to open up my eyes and make them look more wide which makes me look more awake than I actually am. It gives amazing length and no clumps at all.

Beauty Blender
The Beauty Blender is my all-purpose tool, I use it for my foundation, concealer and bronzer its magic it works for all and since you wet the sponge before it puts some moisture back into your skin perfect for these cold winter days.

Nivea Mens Post Shaving Balm… Best Primer EVER?!

There is a new buzz in the beauty guru world that there is a new primer taking over and its a mens shaving blam…I know, I know just hear me out.

I recently watched Nikkie Turorials ( an amazing beauty YouTuber) and she swore by the Nivea Mens Post Shave Balm the sensitive formula as a makeup primer. I’m not going to lie I thought to myself there is no way .. so of course I had to give it a shot for myself.

By no surprise Nikkie was right as she always is , this stuff WORKS. The shaving balm has the ingredient glycerin which helps anything adhere to the skin. You will find after you put on the balm your skin feels a little tacky which helps your makeup really stick to the primer and last all day long. The shaving balm doesn’t feel heavy on the skin, it feels like a light moisturizer.

I experimented with this primer by putting it up against my tride and true Nyx Angel Veil primer. I put the NYX primer on my right side and the Nivea Shaving Balm on the left and the Nivea side didn’t budge. My makeup stayed in tact all day long and was fresh and kept any oils on my face at bay. On the other side the NYX side started to fade and become blotchy towards the end of my 6 hour day.

Another amazing quality is the shaving balm is for sensitive skin and alcohol free so it wont irritate or dry your skin out. I know this concept is crazy right? but it’s truly amazing. It works has an amazing primer and is under 10 dollars! If you can get past the initial musky smell (which goes away as soon as you put on your foundation) then head over to your local drug store and scoop this up you wont be sorry!

You can never have too many makeup brushes correct? Yes , I thought so too.

Nyx Cosmetics Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick

The new trend in the makeup world is liquid lipsticks. Matte lips are the number one trend for fall. Liquid lipsticks give that ultra matte finish, major pigmentation and longevity that we all look for in our lip products.

I recently decided to hop on the liquid lipstick train and I have found my favorite.
The Nyx Liquid Suede Cream Lipsticks are IT. They are creamy, matte, pack a punch when it comes to pigment and they last forever like you’ll wake up the next morning still with a bold lip on from the night before.

Essence Silky Touch Blush

I may have just found the pot of gold of blushes.And heres a little secret they are only $2.99.
The Essence beauty line is sold at Ulta and is known for being very affordable. I recently was on the hunt for a new fall blush and I began to research through my favorite YouTube beauty gruus and I decided to give the Essence beauty line a try,

The Essence Silky Touch Blush is so unique from any other blush I have used. To the touch the blush can almost feel like a cream but dries into a powder. The pigment is awesome and the staying power is my favorite trait. Personally blush is the first thing to fade when I am wearing makeup but when it comes to the Essence blushes that is not the case. This blush lasted on my cheeks for 6 hours which is un heard of when it comes to blush.

My favorite shade for this fall is Autumn Peach. It’s a coral peach color with a nice sheen to it perfect for the fall months!

Tis’ The Season for Fall Lipsticks

The season of fall dark vampy lips is upon us and I couldn’t be more excited. There is something about a dark mauve matte lip that makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.
Today on this rainy Thursday I wanted to share my favorite fall lippies with you all.

First, Mac Whirl lipstick. We all have heard of the cult favorite whirl lip pencil from Mac and from popular demand Mac has created a Whirl lipstick. I hopped on this band wagon very fast and im glad I did. This lipstick is the perfect dark mauve with a brown under tone. The lipstick last all day and doesn’t dry out my lips.

Second, Bite Beauty Butter Cream lipstick in Hazelnut. Bite beauty has always been one of my favorite brands because of their all natural ingredients. Their lipsticks never irritate my lips and always keep them smooth and hydrated. This color is also a mauve but with a plum under tone right on trend for fall! The unique aspect of this lipstick is it is hand cut. By having the lipstick hand cut it removes the outer waxy layer and expose’s the lipstick’s creamy center. This lipstick is infused with five nourishing, aromatic butters, including lavender, shea, almond, pomegranate, and chamomile. Good for your lips and stylish.
Last but not least Tarte Lip Surgence Lip Gloss in Exposed. I know when the cold weather hits it’s all about matte lips but sometimes your lips need a break and need some shine!
